Sixty-eight young colts were selected for the 2026 Oldenburg Stallion Licensing at the two pre-selection days held at the Oldenburg Horse Center in Vechta on 6 - 7 October 2026.
The 2026 Oldenburg Stallion Licensing takes place on 23 - 25 November 2026.
International Community
The pre-selection was spread out over two days and 138 colts were entered. For horse investors the pre-selection are often the location where new young talent is scouted and bought by stallion keepers and horse dealers before the actual licensing.
Almost half the presented group of colts got invited to participate in the main licensing.
Oldenburg's appeal to international breeders stood out once again as no less than 24 selected colts were bred by foreign (non-German) breeders. Eleven of them are bred in The Netherlands.
Bon Esprit, Best Represented Sire
The best represented sire is the 2023 Oldenburg licensing champion Bon Esprit (by Bon Courage x Sezuan) who is presenting his first crop of offspring this year. He has 6 sons selected for the licensing.
Viva Gold has five sons selected, Dynamic Dream and V-Power each have four offspring selected, Bon Courage has three.
