British dressage rider Emily Bradshaw got married to Dutchman Jordy van Nies on 26 August 2026. She married Van Nies and celebrated their union at Combermere Abbey in the U.K.; three days later they held a party in Dutch soil in Heel (NED) on 29 August. The 27-year old Bradshaw rode professionally for her trainer Bert Rutten in The Netherlands. She represented Great Britain at the 2017 European Junior Riders Championships on Remarkable (by Royal Diamond x Feiner Stern) and at the 2020 European Young Riders Championships on Enjoy Amaris (by Apache x Clint Eastwood), which she took to Under 25 level and competed him through 2023. The couple runs a small dressage sales and training facility together in The Netherlands. Jordy does the breaking in and is a freelance flying groom.
Austrian Olympian Victoria Max-Theurer gave birth to a baby bay on 7 September 2026 at 8:10 in the morning. It is the first child for Vici and her life partner, Austrian Olympian Stefan Lehfeller. They named their son Theodor.
Equestrian Canada (EC) announced that Chief Executive Officer Meg Krueger will be stepping down from her position to pursue an external leadership opportunity. Krueger will remain with EC through mid-October. "Krueger has served as CEO of Equestrian Canada for the past five years, leading the organization through a period of change and modernization," EC posted. The Equestrian Canada Board of Directors will announce its interim leadership structure in the coming days.

Danish equestrian magazine Ridehesten has announced that it will give up its monthly printed edition. The last printed copy will come out in December 2026. The decision was made after Danish Warmblood decided to no longer collaborate with the publishing company Wiegaarden for their member magazine to be included in Ridehesten. For 31 years (since 1995) Ridehesten was the official member magazine for Danish warmblood breeders. Ridehesten will continue as online website.
Dutch international junior rider Feline Niessen has announced the retirement of her 13-year old KWPN gelding Quinn (by Dream Boy x San Remo). on Instagram on 3 September 2026. Niessen was in the running for Dutch team selection for the European Junior Championships but unfortunately had to withdraw when her horse suddenly became not fit to compete. She has now made the decision to retire her gelding from sport.

The FEI announced the appointment of Jamie Corr as FEI Director of Marketing. Corr brings extensive international experience in brand strategy, content and partnership marketing, communications and commercial growth within the sports and entertainment industry. He has held senior leadership roles across sports organisations, agencies and global brands, including the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the global sports and entertainment marketing agency MKTG and Red Bull.
At the CDI Lier on 23 February - 1 March 2026 Quartar, the horse of Spanish Olympian Juan Antonio Jimenez, tested positive to Cannabidiolic acid. The rider accepted an Administrative Sanction as part of the FEI fast track system. Administrative proceedings apply to Controlled Medication offences only and are regulated by Article 8.3 of the Equine Controlled Medication Rules.
