Honnefelder's For Deluxe Continues With New German Junior Rider

For Deluxe, Leonie Honnefelder's internationally competed children's horse, has received a new German rider as junior hopeful.

For Deluxe is a 13-year old Westfalian by Franziskus out of Sun River (by Show Star x Frühlingsball). He is bred by Herbert Laumann.

For Deluxe

The gelding was first competed by Silke Ottenjan in 2017, who finished second with him at the Westfalian young horse championships in Munster. Ottenjann produced the horse up the levels and showed him through 2019 up to M** level.

In 2020 For Deluxe became listed as owned by Frank Müllejans and the ride went to children rider Leonie Honnefelder, who trains with Tara Schneider at Gut Römerhof in Dusseldorf. Honnefelder debuted the horse at L-level in August 2020, while in 2021 Schneider showed the gelding nationally at Prix St Georges level.

Honnefelder and For Deluxe finished fifth at the 2021 Preis der Besten and made their international show debut at children level at the CDIO-PJYR Hagen. They also showed at the CDI Aachen Young Stars at the end of that year to finish second and third.

For Deluxe disappeared from the competition scene for almost four years. Nationally he returned in the autumn of2024 with Anna-Marie Schweier, while internationally he resurfaced with Finnish young rider Fanni Sofie Olkkonen, who rode him at one CDI in Lier in the young riders' team test. In 2026 Leonie and Tara showed the horse at S-level in Ankum, Mettmann, Aachen, and Marienheide.

New Rider

The ride on For Deluxe has now been passed on to Mila Greta Tomczak.

The 14-year old Tomczak made her show debut in 2024 on pony Inselhofs De-lightful Moment (by Desperado K x St. Annens Henry N), while in 2025 she showed the now 13-year old Czech warmblood Rodylana (by Dylano R x Carismo). This year she has been competing the 16-year old Baden Wurttemberger bred FR Dorian Gray (by Diamond Hit x Alabaster) at L and M-level.
