Bred by Paul Schockemöhle at Gestut Lewitz, Bourani combines the best of the Schockemöhle blood lines with elite stallion and Grand Prix horse producer Bordeaux as sire and World Young Horse Champion Don Davidoff as dam sire.

Bourani has been competed up the levels by the owner's daughter as of 2022. This black beauty took her up the levels with numerous victories at smal tour level, scoring for instance 72,061% in the Prix St Georges and 73,684% in the Inter I. 

Due to pregnancy and early motherhood, the ride on Bourani was passed on to professional Maria Falkner Hansen who showed him up to Intermediaire II with recent scores to his record in 2026. 

Bourani has much natural self carriage and moves with energy. He is never tired and aims to please his rider.  

Bourani makes a wonderful schoolmaster for an ambitious junior/young rider who aims for Under 25 level, or for an adult amateur who wants a safe and reliable horse. Gentle and easy with kids. This boy has a golden character.

Bourani can be ridden by everyone. He is super easy and sweet to ride and handle both at home and at shows. Even though he is a stallion, he shows no stallion behaviour and is kept together with mares without problems.
