Finnish Grand Prix rider Anna von Wendt said goodbye to Sir Fashion. The bay was 20 years old and passed on 18 August 2026.
Sir Fashion was a 2006 born Rhinelander by Sir Donnerhall out of River Lady (by Rosenkavalier x Ehrentusch). He was bred by Hermann Kretz.
Licensed Stallion
He was licensed as a breeding stallion at the 2009 Rhinelander Stallion Licensing and approved for Oldenburg in 2010.
He did a 70-day stallion performance test in Schlieckau in the autumn of 2009, where he scored 100,80 points with 114,83 points for dressage and 84,61 for jumping. He then fulfilled the rest of his licensing duties by competing in Bundeschampionate qualifiers in 2011 and 2012.
He stood at stud but covered a small amount of mares: 25 of his offspring are registered with the German equestrian federation for sport or breeding.
From Holland to Germany and Back

In 2012 the horse moved to Juliette Piotrowski's yard near Dusseldorf and she represented Germany at the 2012 World Young Horse Championships in Verden, where they finished 7th in the consolation finals. They also went to the Bundeschampionate and placed 6th in the 6-year old finals.
In 2013 Miranda Rongen was back on board for some local showing in Germany at small tour level. In 2014 Sir Fashion resurfaced in The Netherlands under Grand Prix rider Patrick van der Meer. He made his international debut at small tour level at the 2014 CDI Odense. The pair only did three internationals in three years, their last was the 2016 CDI Nieuw en. St Joosland, where he was shown at Grand Prix level.
Sir Fashion disappeared from the international scene for four years.
Anna von Wendt

Von Wendt debuted him in Germany in February 2020 at Inter II level in Ankum before taking him to Finland. Their CDI debut was in Ruila, Estonia, on August 2020 at GRand Prix level. In 2021 they showed in Kunkiai (LTU) and Tallinn (EST), while in 2022 they did three internationals: Redefin, Hagen and Flyinge. The latter show was their last.
Sir Fashion passed away on 18 August.
"You were so much more than just a horse to me. You were an important friend and teacher from whom I learned so much—about horses, about riding, and above all, about myself," Von Wendt said about 'Fasu'. She added, "with you, I experienced unforgettable moments that will always remain in my heart."
