The NOP Foundation (Dutch Olympic Horse) has selected small tour horses Nachtwacht and Olivia-Grace for the NOPT (NOP Talent) plan. The owners will receive financial support to prevent them from selling the horses.
A few years ago NOP made a new category for rising Grand Prix talent, NOPT. The first horses signed as NOPT were now Dutch team horses Mauro, Luxuriouzz, and Mr Magnum.
On June 10, a selection day took place to ensure a successor for the current NOPT horses. Twelve horses appeared before the selection committee. Two horses showed themselves so convincingly that they have been secured and awarded the NOPT certificate and the abbreviation after their names.
They are the 7-year-old mare Olivia-Grace (OLD, by Franklin x Foundation), ridden by Dominique Filion, and the 8-year-old Hexagon's Nachtwacht (by Everdale x Gribaldi), owned by Yvonne Cooiman and Stal Hexagon and ridden by Tessa Kole. Olivia-Grace competed at one international show in April 2025 as a 6-year old. Nachtwacht competed on the Dutch team at the 2025 European Young Riders Championships when he was 7. They finished 7th in the Kur. The pair did not show internationally in 2026.
“These are horses we believe can finish high at a European Championship, World Championship, or the Olympic Games in a few years,” said national team trainer Patrick van der Meer.
