US Equestrian announced yet another substitution for the U.S. Dressage Team ahead of the 2026 FEI Dressage World Championships, hosted in Aachen, Germany, from August 11-16, 2026.
Genay Vaughn (Elk Grove, Calif.) and Gino, a 2011 KWPN gelding (by Bretton Woods x Haarlem) have dropped out.
Vaughn's spot on the team will be replaced by the reserve Meagan Davis (Loxahatchee, Fla.) on Toronto Lightfoot, a 2013 Oldenburg gelding (by Totilas x Onassis) owned by Scott Durkin, and cared for by Inka Kalberlah.
This is the second change to the U.S. team. Previously Jordan LaPlaca dropped out.
The U.S. dressage team riders have not been preparing for the World Championships in a shared training camp in Europe, but the individual riders have been spread out across three countries. Vaughn was staying at Patrik Kittel's yard in Dulmen, Germany, while Simonson and Perry-Glass were in The Netherlands. Ashley Holzer prepared herself at Carl Hester's stable in the U.K.
