Oldenburg Licensing Champion Incredible Sold Into Australian Ownership

Incredible, the 2021 Oldenburg Licensing Champion, has been sold into Australian ownership. He will continue his career as a sport horse under Olympian Lyndal Oatley.

Incredible is a 2019 born Oldenburg stallion by Indian Rock out of Herbstromanze (by For Romance x K2 x Schwadroneur). He is bred by Andrea Bechheim at Gestut Reichshof.

Oldenburg Licensing Champion

Incredible was scouted as a foal by horse dealers Kerstin Klieber and Stefan Sandbink and they sold him as a 2.5 year old to Danish investors Andreas Helgstrand and Stutteri EVO at the Oldenburg licensing pre-selection.

The duo presented him at the 2021 Oldenburg Stallion Licensing where he was named champion. He was approved for Westfalia in January 2022 and in March 2022 he was presented at the Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing in Herning, but was withdrawn when he turned up unlevel on the lunge line.

One month later Incredible was presented under saddle by Eric Guardia Martinez at the Helgstrand Stallion show at the start of April 2022. Two days later Helgstrand announced that the stallion would not be standing at stud because of fertility issues. Only very offspring by Incredible are known to have been born.

He was approved for Hanover on 6 april 2022 right when he concluded the shortened suitability test in Vechta, where he scored 8.32 points.

Sport Career

Incredible made his show debut in Germany in July 2023 at the Oldenburg Young Horse Championships in Rastede, where Maxi Kira von Platen rode him to a second place with 9.2 points. At the 2023 Bundeschampionate he finished 6th in the 4-year old stallion class.

Incredible disappeared from the public sphere for 1.5 years. He made his come back in April 2025 at the CDN Elmlohe, where Leonie Richter rode him to a 7.82 score in the M-test. It was the horse's last competition start in his career, so far.

Change in Ownership

Incredible has now moved to Outstanding Stables in Dulmen and his ownership has been changed to Carol and Andrew Oatley, parents of Australian Olympian Lyndal Oatley. Also Lyndal's husband Patrik Kittel is listed as co-owner.

"Ingo has been with me a few months," Lyndal told Eurodressage. "I fell in love with his amazing attitude and kindness. He has three super paces and an incredible work ethic. He shows massive talent for piaffe and passage and the upper movements. I'm very excited of how much he offers and what he is capable of. We will take our time with him and slowly work on our partnership and development."

When asked at what level he's schooling right now, Lyndal replied that she is "just building him up at present and giving him time but training a little of everything."

Reports that Incredible has been gelded prove untrue. Oatley jokingly confirmed that his assets are "still attached."
