The Mexican equestrian federation has officially nominated two individual riders to represent Mexico at the 2026 World Championships Dressage in Aachen on 11 - 15 August 2026.
Mexico was last represented as a nation in a World Championships in 2006. Spanish born Bernadette Pujals rode chestnut stallion Vincent (by Weltmeyer) to an unprecedented performance.
The two are:
The European based Carolina Cordoba Wolf on Isabella, a 17-year old Finnish warmblood mare by Gribaldi x Don Schufro. She qualified by scoring 66.239% at the 2026 CDI Herning and 67.696% at the 2025 CDI Macon Chaintré. She trains with Borja Carrascosa. This spring she showed the mare at the CDi's in Tolbert and Lier and scored 68.500 and 69.304% in the Grand Prix
The Mexican based (Marcos) Santiago Ortiz Diez on the 15-year old Westfalian Waitoni (by Wynton x Weltmeyer). The chestnut was bought by a sponsor as an Aachen hopeful less than a year ago in December 2025. Ortiz is based at the Piedra Grande equestrian centre near Mexico City and occasionally trains with French 5* judge Raphael Saleh. The pair is already in Europe and competed at the CDI Sint-Truiden at the end of June during the heatwave weekend. They scored 64.956% in the Grand Prix.
