The Australian equestrian federation has announced the team that will represent Australia at the 2026  World Championships in Aachen on 11 - 15 August 2026.

After issuing a short list of six combinations, Australian selectors have now made their final pick. The team includes

  • Mary Hanna - Ivanhoe
  • William Matthew - Faye
  • Warwick McLean - Le Special
  • Simone Pearce - Will Marq

The reserve is Jemma Heran on Total Recall.

Surprising absentee from the team is 2024 Australian Olympian Jayden Brown on the late Terry Snow's 12-year old Hanoverian gelding Quincy B (by Quaterback x Desperados). The pair is one of the highest Australian combinations of the moment but were not chosen for the team as the owner decided on a new future for the horse. Brown had his last ride on Quincy B yesterday.

"An offer was made to purchase him for me to keep the ride and compete in Aachen which wasn’t accepted," Brown told Eurodressage. "Quincy left our stable yesterday and is stabled locally while he is prepared for travel."
