Bayerns Pferde reported that the CDI Munich,  a 40-year old international dressage and show jumping competition known as Pferd International", most likely will not take place in 2027.

Show organizer Jürgen Blum  confirmed to the regional equestrian magazine that "the search for sponsors is proving increasingly difficult and costly" and that " ‘Pferd International München’ is unlikely to take place next year at the Olympic Equestrian Centre in Munich-Riem."

The CDI Munich is a staple on the FEI calendar and always takes place in May at the same time as the Hamburg Dressage Derby CDI up north.  The 2027 edition was scheduled for 6 - 9 May 2027.

CDI competitions across Europe have been struggling in the last few years due to the rising cost of hosting such events as well as a cooled down interest from companies to sponsor. This year the dressage Top 10 format was dropped from the CDI Stockholm and the CDI's in Madrid and Donaueschingen were cancelled too. In New Zealand the post popular equestrian event, the Horse of the Year show, was cancelled too amid economic pressures.
