Following the CDIO Falsterbo in Sweden, the Danish equestrian federation has announced the team that will represent Denmark at the 2026 World Championships Dressage in Aachen on 11 - 15 August 2026.
Denmark is the title defender for team gold and this year Danish Olympian Cathrine Dufour-Laudrup on Mount St. John Freestyle has achieved the highest scores of the season, although in 2026 she strategically avoided a head-to-head confrontation with the reigning European Champion Justin Verboomen on Zonik Plus.
Denmark will be represented by
- Carina Cassoe Kruth - Heiline's Danciera
- Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour on Mount St. John Freestule
- Daniel Bachmann Andersen on Flash Gordon
- Nadja Aaboe Sloth on Favour Gersdorf
The first reserve is Anna Zibrandtsen (Quel Filou), the second reserve is Karoline Rohmann (Jakas Don Louvre).
"We have high expectations for this team, which will defend the gold medal from Herning 2022 and the Danish colors at the World Championships," said Danish Elite Sports Manager Susie Dannemand. " At the same time, the World Championships are an important step towards our long-term goal of securing Danish team qualification for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. We believe that this team can deliver performances at the absolute highest level, and we also expect that Denmark will be in the fight for the gold medals and the fight for the individual medals in GPS and GPF. We definitely believe that we have 3 riders in the further advancement after the team competition."
The Danish team and two reserves will go into bootcamp at Blue Hors/Stutteri Ask, Kerteminde on July 27-28.
