Following the FEI nations Cup Frand Prix at the 2026 CDIO Falsterbo on 11 July, the Swedish Equestrian Federation has made its decision on a team for the 2026 World Championships in Aachen.
Exactly one month before the riders will go down the centerline in Aachen, Swedish team captain Stefan Jansson made his pick.
"Our goal for a long time is to be among the six top nations that qualify for the Olympics in Los Angeles 2028. This is a team that I believe can perform what is required," said Jansson.
The Swedish team consists of three routiniers and one new comers. They arem
- Therese Nilshagen - Navarro
- Maria von Essen - Invoice
- Patrik Kittel - Touchdown
- Rebecca Mauleon - Johnnie Walker
The reserve is Caroline Darcourt with Bournonville.
The fight for the fourth spot was a big one between Mauleon, Darcourt and Bergakra. Jansson chose the former.
"We have had three very consistent riders to choose from. I have chosen to include Rebecca in the team thanks to her consistent and high results in international Grand Prix," he said.
