Scaglietti V Sold to Finnish Grand Prix Rider

Scaglietti V, a Danish warmblood competed at national Grand Prix level by Danish Karin Nissen, has been sold to Finland.  The black is a future hopeful for Finnish team rider Elisabet Ehrnrooth.

Scaglietti V is a 2015 born Danish warmblood by Sezuan out of Lascona T (by Lauries Crusador xx x Weltmeyer). He is bred by Iben Leere Kamp.

Karin Nissen

Kamp sold Scaglietti V as a foal to her friend Karin Nissen, who shared the ownership with Grethe Kristensen.

He was presented for licensing at the 2018 Danish Warmblood stallion licensing but not picked. 

Nissen debuted the black gelding as a 5-year old in September 2020 and gradually took him up the levels. In 2022 they tackled the 7-year old classes and finished 9th in the 7-year old finals at the Danish Young Horse Championships. 

In 2023 she established him further at small tour level. They did their first Intermediaire II test (70.789 %) in September 2024 and a month later competed him at national Grand Prix level with 67.018% being the score in their first GP test. Nissen's last show on Scaglietti was in November 2024.

Sold to Finland

Scaglietti V was sent to Cathrine Dufour to be sold. She showed the gelding once in February 2026, scoring 75.741% in the Intermediaire II.

With several horse dealers involved, Scaglietti V sold to Finnish Elisabet "Ettan" Ehrnrooth. The former Finnish team rider competed at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney on Harald (KWPN, by Uniform x Duc de Normandie), and at the 2002 World Equestrian Games and 2003 European Championships on Angard (HANN, by Archipel x Gardeulan II). Ehrnrooth served as chef d'equipe for Finland at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Caen. 

Between 2013 and 2018 she competed Wizard II (SWB, by Wetano x Allegretto) at international Grand Prix level In 2019 her Grand Prix horse was  Bogelys La-Ro (by Lorentin II x Resident), then came Macacho (SWB, by Maserati x Camaro M) which sold to Sophie Morner, the daughter of Antonia Ax:son Johnson.

Ettan's most recent Grand Prix horse is Daytona, a  2013 born Hanoverian mare by Dante Weltino x Samarant, which she debuted at the CDI Herning in March 2024 and showed through October 2025 with the CDI Tallinn being her last CDI. They were Finnish Olympic team reserves in Paris.

The 59-year old Ehrnrooth debuted Scaglietti V on 24 May but retired from the Grand Prix test. They returned to the arena on 12 - 13 June at small tour level to a double win with 67.613% in the Prix St Georges and 70.879% in the Intermediaire I.
