The Belgian equestrian federation has announced the teams that will represent Belgium at the 2026 European Youth Riders Championships in July.
Belgian youth team captain Alain Rauw and U25 team captain Jeroen van Lent followed the pairs across the CDI's this spring season to make their final selection.
Belgium will be fielding teams in just three categories but was unable to assemble a complete junior team.
"In the junior division we are currently in a transitional phase this year," Rauw told Eurodressage. "A few key players have left the junior category, whilst several new pairs have very little international experience. We would therefore like to field a team but at the same time we want to ensure that our Belgian teams meet a minimum standard of quality and are sufficiently competitive. I can see a clear positive development within this group, but unfortunately it has come too soon."
