The Oldenburg Foal Auction celebrated a successful debut at the 2026 CDI / CSI Mannheim as a elect collection was presented to a high-profile audience, generating significant interest and sparking lively bidding wars.
The top price d foal was the jumping bred filly Colette (by Chaloubino PS) , which sold for 17,000 euro.
The most wanted dressage foal was Zaubermaus which sold for 14,500 euro. The stunning dressage princess from Zacolar di Mantova’s debut crop and out of a San Amour dam impressed with her quality of movement and expression. A bidding duel provided particular excitement, in which Swiss Olympic rider Martin Fuchs also participated; he wanted to secure the foal for his partner, Australian Olympic rider Simone Pearce—but ultimately lost out. Zaubermaus’s dam is a sister to the licensed stallion Walker and the international Grand Prix horse Deep Impact, who has enjoyed success with riders including Severo Jurado Lopez (ESP) and Charlotte Jorst (USA). The dam line has produced numerous other top-level sport horses.
The fact that both top-priced horses remain in the region and go to riders who are currently victorious in both disciplines at the Maimarkt Tournament underscores the special connection between sport and breeding at this event, as auctioneer Roland Metz emphasized.
The pony foal Goldmarie (by Gold Garant x D-Gold AT) was also in high demand, changing hands for 7,500 euro.
They bay filly Vegeta (by Verbier x Don Schufro) had a hammer price of 7,000 euro.
A total of ten foals was sold for a total turnover of 102,000 euros. The average price was 10,200 euro.
