Dutch para dressage rider Frank Hosmar said goodbye to his second horse, Guetta. The 15-year old was put to sleep.

Guetta was a 2011 born KWPN gelding by Sandreo out of Pijalda MW (by Jazz x Zuidhorn). He was bred by

Hosmar bought the bay as a four-month old foal and reared him himself. At the age of 3 Guetta only stood 1.61 m and turned out to be a late bloomer, growing to stand 1.75 m to fit the tall Dutch rider.  Guetta always stood in the shadow of Frank's number one team ride Alphaville.

After some regional and national level competition, Hosmar and Guetta made their international para debut at the 2017 CPEDI Roosendaal at Grade V level. In 2018 the horse achieved more mileage at CPEDI's in Genemuiden, and Uberherrn.  In 2019 he went to Doha, Kronenberg and Uberherrn after which a two-year break followed.

In the 2021 Tokyo paralympic year Guetta showed in Waregem and Kronenberg and was the reserve horse to Alphaville. Their last international season was in 2022 with starts in Waregem, Kronenberg and Grote Brogel.  Out of 28 international competition starts they won three times.

In 2024 Guetta competed at the Dutch Para Dressage Championships in the first round and was 15th.

Hosmar announced the passing of Guetta on social media. "A small 15 years ago, he came to us, ‘baby’ Guetta; today he has left our stable for good," Hosmar stated. "He can now graze and run pain-free on the evergreen pastures. We are going to miss this ever-cheerful horse terribly."

Hosmar's last CPEDI start was in July 2024 on the now 21-year old Alphaville, which he has been showing since 2012. Hosmar trains with Adelinde Cornelissen.
