First Class, a medal winning German Junior and Young Riders Team horse, has been sold to German pony team rider Leni-Sophie Gosmann.
First Class is a 15-year old Brandenburger by Furst Romancier out of Wild Wichita (by Wind Dancer x Convoi x Versschmied). He is bred by ZG Blum.
Lia Welschof
The black was first competed in 2015 by Linda Weiss, who took him up to M-level by 2016.
Owned by the Welschof family, Lia made her show debut on First Class in August 2017 in the M-level dressage horse test in Ostbevern.
While Welschof's junior/young rider career took flight with the two late horses Linus K and Don Windsor, the black First Class stayed in the background, slowly being developed up the levels and competed nationally.
They reached small tour level in 2019 and in the corona year of 2020 qualified via national shows for a reserve spot on German team for the 2020 European Young Riders Championships. Welschof had qualified with Linus K but got replaced by First Class when he had fitness issues.
At those Europeans in Pilisjaszfalu, Lia and First Class won team silver, as well as individual and kur test silver. It was the horse's first and only international show in his career, so far.
After the Euros First Class continued on national level. In 2021 he premiered at medium tour level, and in 2022 showed in the short Grand Prix. Their first classic Grand Prix test was in 2023 in Warendorf. Their last show as a pair was in June 2024 in Samern.
Viktoria von Braunmühl
In the autumn of 2024 Welschof leased First Class to German junior rider Viktoria von Braunmühl who trains with Bianca Nowag at the time, but after six months switched to working with Lia Welschof's mom.
Von Braunmühl made her national show debut on First Class at the CDN Munster in January 2025 at junior level and competed him in the 2025 Preis der Besten to finish 11th. At the Geman team selection trial at the CDIO Hagen they scored a triple win in the CDI-J tour and clinched a spot on the German team for the 2025 European Junior Riders Championships in Le Mans, where they scored team gold and kur bronze. They finished the year with a fifth place in the kur at the 2025 German Junior Riders Championships. Their last show was the local show in Leopoldshohe in September 2025 at S-level
Leni-Sophie Gosmann

"Despite these excellent prospects, Viktoria decided to step away from riding and pursue a modelling career. The contract allowed for this, and so Fetti returned to us," Lia Welschof told Eurodressage. "As we strongly believe that Fetti has the potential to achieve great success in the Junior and Young Rider tours, both nationally and internationally, we have decided to make him available once again."
German pony team rider Leni-Sophie Gosmann has acquired First Class as her future junior rider's horse.
"We bought him as a school master for me," Leni told Eurodressage. "At fist I want to start competing in the juniors and after my junior years we will continue our journey with the upcoming classes, but we will see what time brings with it."
Aboard the buckskin German riding pony Diamantini WE Gosmann won double team gold at the 2024 and 2025 European Pony Championships, alongside kur silver (2025). She is also the 2024 German pony champion. In 2025 she won silver at the Nationals.
