After the majority of top European riders declined to go and two last minute drop outs, the line-up of riders for the 2026 World Cup Finals in Fort Worth, Texas, has been corrected by welcoming Ben Ebeling to the starters' field.
Western European League riders Charlotte Dujardin and Carina Cassoe Kruth have not crossed the Atlantic for the Finals despite accepted their entries. Dujardin pulled out for undisclosed reasons, Kruth dealt with paperwork issues.
Ebeling Instead of Vaughn
In order for the small field of riders not to be reduced from 18 to 16, American Ben Ebeling has been invited to fill up a free slot.
American Genay Vaughn was higher ranked on the North American League standing, but the slot was determined by the rule for the extra starting place (16.8.d): the combination with the highest ranking on the February list of the current year FEI Dressage World Ranking List (DWRL), and who have participated in at least two (2) CDI-W qualifiers. E
beling was higher ranked that Vaughn in February.
Four Qualifiers
Ebeling will ride Bellena, a 2010 Hanoverian mare (by Belissimo M out of Wellfair), owned by Vantage Equestrian Group II, LLC, and cared for by Olivia Colella. They competed at the CDI-W's in Devon, Myakka City, Ocala and Wellington.
