On 25 February 2026 Swiss equestrian magazine Pferdewoche.ch broke the news that the buyer of international Grand Prix horse Djembe de Hus is Swiss dressage rider Simone Zuffellato
Pferdewoche wrote that Simone is the daughter-in-law of dressage trainer Bernhard Scheu.
Von Stockar
Simone is best known in the dressage world under her maiden name Simone von Stockar.
She was a one-time Swiss Junior Riders Champion and triple Swiss Young Riders Champion in the 1980s. She also won three times team bronze at the European Young Riders Championships in 1986, 1987, and 1988. Andrea Spahn, Andrea Mäder, Judith Herren and Andrea Cadient were her team riders at the time.
The Swiss youth riders were trained by Georg Wahl at the time.
Zuffellato
In 2024 and 2025 Zuffellato has been actively competing Furst Almeo (by Furst Nymphenburg x Wolkenstein II) and Qumaira (by Quaterback x Stedinger) at national small tour level. Her last Grand Prix horse was the Polish bred Arras (by Arizona out of Araks) which she rode in the 1990s. In 2022 she briefly showed Desiderius L (by De Niro x Landadel) at S-level.
Scheu confirmed to Pferdewoche that "in the long term, and in the back of their minds, they do want to compete at Grand Prix level again. For now, they are simply happy that it worked out despite various offers."
