Portuguese 5* judge Carlos Lopes has been appointed the official technical delegate for dressage at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
The appointment was approved by the FEI board.
Carlos Lopes is the first Portuguese judge to ever make it to 5* status for dressage. He received his promotion in 2024. He already is the highest level judge for Para dressage and has often served as technical delegate at international dressage competitions.
At the 2024 Olympics in Paris Italian 5* judge Vincenzo Truppa (ITA) served as TD.
The FEI also released the official qualification system for L.A. 2028.
