British Grand Prix rider Louise Bell suddenly had to say goodbye to her career making horse Into the Blue on 2 February 2026, only little after one month of announcing his retirement to Eurodressage at the 2025 CDI-W London.

Into the Blue suffered from a severe colic attack and could not be saved.

"I am in total devastation and heartbreak to tell you all ,that yesterday I had to say goodbye to my soulmate the one and only “Dynamo," Bell took to Facebook. "Due to complications of a displaced colon I could not have him suffer any more. And as awful and awful it was,it to was a clear decision …. What was best for him was something I wish no one has to endure… loosing my father less than a month ago to loosing Dynamo too is just too much to bare."

Into the Blue was an AES registered gelding by Ublesco out of Viva (by Calvaro Z x Louella Inschallah III). He was bred by John and Clare Whitaker. He would have turned 20 in the spring.

"He was loved not only by me but by so many of you wonderful people that are my friends and followers,Dynamo always lived like a king, he always controlled the yard and his presence in the arena wether showing or dressage allowed everyone to see his awesome personality. This horse took me to places most only dream of , and when I decided to take up dressage he came with me, he taught me and he tested me but I loved every second of him."

Eurodressage posted a career overview of this horse in his retirement article
