Raphael Netz Debuts NorCordia's Sola Diva

German squad rider Raphael Netz has debuted a new Grand Prix horse, NorCordia's Sola Siva, who was previously competed by American Catherine Haddad.

Sola Diva is an 11-year old Hanoverian mare by Sarotti Mokka Sahne out of Diva Bella (by De Niro x Lavado). She is bred by Volker Redderberg

From Germany to the U.S.A.

The mare began her competition career in Germany in 2020 under Kira Goerens-Ripphoff, competing in a few A-level classes as a 5-year old. In 2021 Kira alternated the ride with her husband, Luxembourg Grand Prix rider Mathis Goerens.

Sola Diva sold to Danish investment company NorCordia and was shipped to the U.S.A. for Catherine Hadded to develop her to FEI level. They debuted in the spring of 2022 at Third level. In 2023 Haddad moved her up to national small tour level and contested the developing PSG horse tets. In 2024 she was further established at small tour level and debuted internationally at the CDI Devon in September 2024 to place 13th in the Prix St Georges but then retire from the Inter I. Two months later at the CDI Ocala the pair won the Prix St Georges and was second in the Inter I.

From the U.S.A. back to Germany

In 2025 Sola Diva debuted at developing Grand Prix level and in the summer was shipped to Europe, where Haddad competed again on European soil for the first time in eight years after having lived in Germany for years.

They competed at the national shows in Hamburg and Elmlohe. Haddad returned to the U.S.A. but left Sola Diva in Europe to be sold.

The mare re-appeared in the public eye with a new rider in the saddle, Raphael Netz.

Sola Diva still belongs to NorCordia. “Catherine asked me to start riding her in September when she returned to the USA for orthopedic surgery,” Netz told Eurodressage. “It is really great to work with the professional team at NorCordia. It was really nice for me to be trusted with such a well trained horse.”

The duo made its show debut today at the CDN Ankum, placing second in the Grand Prix with 71.000%.
