Dressage Ireland has set up a new sponsorship initiative supporting Irish international riders in the 2026 season.
A newly secured sponsor will fund a Grand Prix Bursary Prize of 500 euros for Irish riders who achieve over 68% at an international Grand Prix or Grand Prix Special during the season. The prize is capped at one per rider and will be presented at the Dressage Ireland AGM in November 2026.
In addition, Dressage Ireland is proud to introduce travel bursaries of €500 to support both senior and youth Irish-based international riders. These bursaries aim to assist with the costs of competing abroad and are available to athletes who achieve scores of 60% or higher at international shows (excluding freestyle classes). Travel bursaries are capped at one per athlete.
In order to be eligible for the bursary riders must notify Dressage Ireland prior to travel and will be able to claim the bursary on their return upon submission of their scores to admin@dressageireland.ie. Furthermore riders who qualify for and compete at the World Equestrian Games or Youth European championships will be eligible to claim a second bursary.
These initiatives reflect Dressage Ireland’s commitment to supporting the development and international success of Irish riders at all levels, helping them to reach their full potential on the global stage.
