A black Bloomingdale x Millennium colt was named the champion of the 2026 Brandenburg Stallion Licensing in Neustadt/Dosse on 8-9 January 2026.

The Brandenburg licensing is also known as the "Schaufenster der Besten" and the licensing committee included Antje Lembke, Christian Kubitz, André Thieme and Dietmar Schulz.

A total of 19 dressage bred colts was presented for licensing and no less than 12 were licensed, four were named premium.

Bloomingdale Son Champion

A son by Bloomingdale out of a Millennium x Alabaster dam, bred and presented by Heinrich Ramsbrock, was named the champion stallion. His sire Bloomingdale, bred at the Brandenburg state stud Neustadt/Dosse, was the reserve champion at his licensing in 2022 and works out of the Celle State Stud.

The licensing committee praised the colt for being, "a highly refined, typey young stallion, perfectly embodying the breed and gender type, with impressive conformation and a good topline. His trot was dynamic and powerful, with a swinging, relaxed gait and good back engagement. His well-balanced canter showed excellent engagement of the hindquarters. His walk was rhythmic and showed sufficient ground cover."

In the hybrid auction following the licensing on 10 January, the champion sold for 80,000 euro.

Reserve Champion

The reserve champion was also sired by a Brandenburg state stud stallion, Ben Benicio. The dark bay colt is out of a Quaterback x Syriano dam. He is bred by the Brandenburg State Stud and sold as a foal to Vicky Wulschner, who then entrusted him to the State Stud for the licensing preparation. Dietmar Schulz emphasized the "impeccable temperament of this tall and elastic-moving young stallion."

The third premium stallion was by Bloomingdale x Don Index x Cordoba, bed by Matthias Stickamp and owned by horse dealer Heinrich Ramsbrock. The fourth premium was awarded to a son of Diamond First x Millennium x Fürst Heinrich, bred by Gestüt Sprehe and ownedby Agrar Handelsgesellschaft Salzfurtkapelle.

In the auction the champion was the most expensive stallion followed by the premium Diamond First, who sold for 40,000 euro. The reserve champion had a hammer price of only 30,000 euro. The best selling non-licensed cot was a DeLorean x San Amour, fetching 11,000 euro.

The pony champion stallion named Ganz Besonders Descendi S (by Gold Garant x Foundation), bred by Christina Schmitz and owned by Liva Kalea Behr, sold for 20,000 euro.
