At the end of 2025 Jessica Lynn Thomas said goodbye to her WCYH finalist ride So Special. The liver chestnut has been sold to Philipp Mücke.
So Special is a 2020 born Hanoverian by Secret out of Bon Fire (by Bon Coeur x Donnerhall). He is bred and owned by Pia Sophie Wahlers.
WCYH Finalist
The stallion was licensed at the 2023 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing but has not yet done a suitability or sport test. So Special has a full brother, Secret of Britain, who did not get licensed and then sold to Marivaux Dressage and Anthony Astier in France.
He was put in training with Jessica Lynn Thomas, who debuted him in June 2023 in Heiligenrode. They finished second at the 2023 Hanoverian Young Horse Championships in Verden and got silver at the 2023 Bundeschampionate.
In 2024 Thomas won the Hanoverian Young Horse Championships with him and placed second in the 4-year old challenge, a national level invitation class held at the World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo.
In 2025 the duo got officially selected on the German team for the World Young Horse Championships in Verden, where they were 14th in the Finals after placing third in the 5-year old consolation finals. One month later they were fourth at the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf.
New Rider
Owner Pia Wahlers has now sold her stallion to a new rider, Philipp Mücke, who is based near Munich. Equi-pages first spotted the horse moving barns after Mücke announced it on Instagram.

Mücke mainly competed at national level or CDI's in Germany (Babenhausen). Uncle Satchmo took him to Under 25 level internationally. Between 2019 and 2023 he rode a handful of CDI''s at medium tour and young horse level with Deep Impact (by Don Index x Sandro Hit) and Montgomery (by Martinez x Donnerhall). Both horses have been actively showing at national level in the south of Germany and Austria at Grand Prix and S-level. The two horses together showed in 29 tests last year.
