Stella Hagelstam has sold her home-bred, Finnish WCYH team horse Hagels Rosophia to a Finnish rider.

Hagels Rosophia is a 2018 born Finnish warmblood mare by Revolution out of Holsteiner mare Alicante (by Alcatraz x Coriolan). She is bred by Stella.

Double WCYH Participant

As a 2-year old Rosophia won the Finnish warmblood championship in hand/in freedom.

Rosophia twice represented Finland at the World Championships for young dressage horses.  In 2024 Stella's student Victoria Aro piloted the bay mare in Ermelo to an 11th place in the 6-year old consolation finals with 77.800%. They went on to win the 2024 Finnish Young Horse Championships for 6-year olds.

This year Stella rode the mare herself in Verden and finished 16th in the 7-year old consolation finals.

"I was honored to ride my first own bred in the 7-year old Championships," Stella said at the time. "This show is something very unique in many aspects but to be both the breeder, owner and rider of the horse you are sitting on marks a special milestone for me."

Sold

Hagelstam has sold the mare to 30-year old Finnish Kiia Virtanen.

Virtanen competes nationally in show jumping as well as in dressage with the Holsteiner Aircare (by Artani x Exkurs).
