Iron Spring Farm and Catherine Malone celebrate a landmark year as Kaiman (Dark Pleasure x Gribaldi, Elite/Pref.) finishes 2025 as the USEF Leading Sire for Dressage Breeding, with Cum Laude (Apache, Pref. x Weltmeyer) securing third.

The offspring of these stallions set the standard at the KWPN-NA Keuring Tour and the 50th Anniversary Dressage at Devon, while ISF-sired horses delivered excellent performances at USDF Regionals, US Dressage Finals, and the USDF Year-End Awards—continuing the legacy of founder Mary Alice Malone.

Devon Dominance

At Dressage at Devon, Temptation ISF (Kaiman x Love Dance, Elite/Sport, by Vitalis) swept the Grand Championship, Young Horse Championship, and ProElite/USDFBC Filly Championship. Valentine ISF (Kaiman x Zabrina ISF, Star, by Tjalbert 460) was the ProElite/USDFBC Foal Champion, won the KWPN IBC class with 86.100%, and secured the ProElite/USDF Current Year Foal East Coast Series Final with 84.937%. Cum Laude continued his winning streak in the Get of Sire class for the third year, while his son Usher ISF (Cum Laude x Jurdânea, by Escorial) earned the ProElite/USDF Colt/Gelding Championship.

Keuring Highlights

Both stallions produced multiple First Premium foals and nationally ranked young horses in the KWPN-NA Keuring Tour. First Premium dressage foal Valour ISF (Kaiman x Sir Sinclair, Keur) tied for High Score Keuring and earned High Score Dressage Foal. Valkyrie HS (Kaiman x Azteca VDL) was National Reserve Champion Jumper Foal. Cum Laude’s offspring shone as well, with the highlight of Time to Shine CCE (Cum Laude x Facet) ranking #6 nationally among Dressage Two-Year-Olds.

Year-End Accolades

For the USDF Year-End Awards, Improv 40z was KWPN-NA Champion for Intermediate II Open and ranked 16th nationally for Intermediate II Dressage Horse of the Year. KWPN-NA Reserve Champion titles went to Audi (Sir Sinclair, Keur x Idocus, Crown) in Prix St. Georges AA, Maestro LFS (Uno Don Diego x Just the Best) in First Level AA Musical Freestyle, and Ultraviolet BVF (Kaiman x Contango, Pref.) in Yearling Fillies - Dressage Sport Horse Breeding.

The 2025 results reflect the rising impact of Kaiman and Cum Laude and reaffirm Iron Spring Farm’s enduring legacy in North American sport horse breeding. Catherine Malone of ISF continues the farm’s tradition of purposeful, performance-proven breeding into the next generation.
