Best selling embryo in the 2025 Oldenburg Save the Future Embryo and Youngster Auction

The first Oldenburg ‘Save the Future’ online auction of embryos and young sport horses, held on 9 December 2025, was a  solid success. Just a few days after the Oldenburg Special Edition, Oldenburg Horse Marketing GmbH tested this new format.

From more than 60 embryos, the Vechta auction team put together a top-class collection from the traditional, successful Oldenburg mare lines in both dressage and show jumping. Even before the auction and bid-up, there was already considerable interest in the auction process and the embryos, including from many new interested parties from Germany and abroad.

The highest price paid at this auction was for a developed embryo of the reigning European Champion United Touch S out of the Wodka mare line. The unborn foal  sold to Finland for €16,500.

Among the dressage embryos, two in particular attracted a great deal of interest. The two offspring from the highly successful Gesina line changed hands for €14,000 each.

The embryo by Vitalis out of the elite and Oldenburg main premium and Brillantring mare Best of Mount St. John (by Fürst Romancier-Bordeaux-Sir Donnerhall), offered for sale by Lone Boegh Henriksen of HP Horses in Denmark, sold for 14,000 euro to Germany.

The embryo by Secret out of Gelisa PS (by Vitalis x Sir Donnerhall), offered for sale by Oliver Cordes, sold to Denmark for 14,000 euro.
