The 2025 Westphalian Main Licensing: Where Young Talents Are Discovered

The highlight in the calendar of Westphalian horse breeders is the eagerly awaited stallion licensing each year. At the beginning of December, the selected stallions are presented at the Westphalian Horse Centre over three days.

68 dressage-oriented young stallions will face the judgement of the Westphalian licensing commission on 30 November and 1 December 2205.

The awards ceremony and the stallion sales for licensed and non-licensed stallions will conclude the eventful licensing days on 2 December 2025.

Once again this year, a riding horse stallion is presented on the cover of this licensing catalogue, that has made his first major appearance before an international audience at the Westphalian Main Licensing. The Sir Heinrich x Don Bedo son Shynedo was licensed and discovered in the arena at the Westphalian Horse Center in 2019. Currently he is gaining successes in advanced level dressage competitions and his first offspring have impressed at the Westphalian foal auctions. 

Again this year 68 young stars are ready to conquer the hearts of the spectators during the Westphalian main licensing. Highly talented stallions descending from famous dam lines are listed in this years licensing catalogue. Besides well proven sires such as Bonds, Escolar, Franziskus, Secret, Vitalis and Zoom, the first vintages of the upcoming sires such as Be my Dancer, Diamantenglanz, Escaneno, Extra Gold and Fanegro, are eagerly avaited.

At onlineauction.westfalenpferde.de all stallions are presented with expressive photos and videos. Here it is also stated which ones will be for sale at the stallion sale.
