European reserve champion Cathrine Dufour and her wife Rasmine Laudrup have bought Lis Hartel's historic yard Stenklammergaard in Fredensborg.

Dufour was first based at her parents' Grønagergaard near Roskilde, but moved to Fredensborg as the couple decided to start a business together and Cathrine's father did not want her to take over the family yard on a short-term basis. Dufour broke with her father, whom she felt kept a too tight grip on her, and relocated to Langelandsgården, where she is closer to Laudrup's family. There the couple has space for 25 horses.

They have now invested in a property of their own in the same town. They plan to fully renovate the yard in a couple of years time.

Stenklammergaard was Lis Hartel's base. Lis was the first female dressage rider to win a medal at the Olympics in 1952.
