Bundeschampion Darboven K Sold to Sweden

The Danish owned 2025 Bundeschampionate winning pony Darboven K has been sold to Sweden.

Darboven K is a 6-year old Weser Ems bred stallion by Dallmayr K out of C-Dur (by FS Champion de Luxe x Domingo). He is bred by Hermann Koopmeiners and got named after the Darboven coffee brand.

Licensed Stallion

Darboven K sold to pony horse dealer Mia Lee in Denmark but remained in Germany.

The bay was licensed as a breeding stallion at the 2021 Weser Ems Pony Licensing in Vechta. He has done only little breeding with five offspring currently registered with the FN in Germany.

He was first competed as a 3-year old in 2022 by Hanna Richter before Wenke Kraus took over the ride. They won the pony class at the Oldenburg young horse championships in Rastede and went to the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf, where they got silver in the 3-year old stallion division.

Kraus continued training the pony and returned to Rastede for another win and the 2023 Bundeschampionate for a bronze medal in the 4-year old stallion class.

Denmark

In 2024 the ride was allocated to Filippa Jaeger Jensen.

Jaeger showed the stallion first in Germany in a local show in Heide to qualify for the 2024 Bundeschampionate, where they were fifth in the 5-year old division.

The pair did a similar formula in 2025: one qualifier in Cloppenburg to make it back to Warendorf, where Darboven K finally got gold in the 6-year old division.

Sweden

The rising FEI pony stallion has now been sold to Elissa Ek in Sweden.

Ek has been building her string of horses. She also owns and competes ponies Jonker's Jayden and Dreimalhoch S at national level and recently acquired junior horse Mytrichta van de Westen.
