European Young Riders Bronze Medallists Anna Teibel Raben and Sparaday Split

Ridehesten reported that Danish duo Anna Teibel Raben and her mount Sparaday, who won double bronze at the 2025 European Young Riders Championships, are no longer a pair.

Sparaday is an 8-year old Danish warmblood gelding by Torveslettens Spartacus out of Daytona Beach (by Don Frederic x Hotline). He is bred and owned by Anna's trainer Helle Wibe.

The dark bay was first competed in Denmark in 2022 as a 5-year old by Søren Luther Christensen. He trained the horse up to M-level and competed him through the start of March 2024. Three weeks later Raben competed him for the first time at the CDN Esbjerg to win an MB-class.

Anna met Helle Wibe and Søren Christensen in October 2023 and began riding Zhobel for them until he sold. In January 2024 she took over the ride on Sparaday. They were fourth at the 2024 Danish Junior Riders Championships. The pair made its international show debut at the CDIO-JR Hagen at junior level and after placing in the top three in two tests they were selected on the Danish team. At the 2024 European Junior Riders Championships in Opglabbeek they won team silver and finished 21st in the individual test (68.118%) after a second place in the team test (73.909%). They finished the year with a fourth place in the 7-year old division at the 2024 Danish Young Horse Championships.

In 2025 they moved to Young Riders level and competed at the CDI's in Lier and Tolbert, winning five out of six classes. They were sixth at the 2025 Danish Young Riders Championships. At the 2025 European Young Riders Championships in Kronberg, they won team bronze and double bronze in the individual test and kur to Music.

Return to Owner

Since a few weeks Raben is no longer riding Sparaday, but has handed the ride back to owner Helle Wibe.

Raben told Ridehesten: "It has been two absolutely indescribable years that I never dreamed I would experience. Sparaday has given me so many unforgettable memories."

Helle Wibe told Eurodressage on 10 October 2025: "The plan with Anna and Sparaday was made with a timeline, event to event, with hope to qualify for the team at the Europeans 2025 and we could proudly say mission accomplished for them. We are currently working on teaching him next level exercises. He is a lovely ride, powerful and still very soft and I enjoy to take over the ride on a home-bred horse."
