Gasmonkey, Robin Heiden's four-time European Junior/Young Riders Championship horse, has found a new rider in The Netherlands.

Gasmonkey is a 14-year old KWPN gelding by Tuschinski out of Pippi-D (by Ferro x Fruhling).

Originally named Gidon D, the dark bay gelding is bred by Damstra, close friends of the Heiden family with whom they co-own horses.

When they needed to register the horse for competition with the Dutch equestrian federation at age 4, Robin's brother renamed the horse "Gasmonkey" after the garage in the reality-styled Discovery Channel TV show Fast N' Loud . At home he is known as "Goof."

Robin and Gasmonkey became the 2020 Dutch Junior Riders Champions and made their international show debut at junior level in 2020 in Hagen. They were nominated on the Dutch team for the European Junior Riders Championships in Pilisjaszfalu, where they won team bronze and placed fourth in the individual test and Kur finals.

An almost two-year break from CDI showing followed by in May 2022 the pair returned at young riders level in Compiegne. They were 7th at the 2022 Dutch Young Riders Championships. After winning the CDI Exloo and riding in the YR-invitational at the CDIO Aachen they went to the European Young Riders Championships in Hartpury, where the team was sixth and they placed fifth in the individual test and sixth in the kur.

At the 2024 European YR Championships
Heiden and Gasmonkey went on a similar path in 2023. They won gold at the 2023 Dutch Young Riders Championships and returned to the Europeans in Pilisjaszfalu, this time they were fourth with the team and ranked 8th in the individual test and 11th in the Kur.

The duo did no international in 2024 but landed fourth place at the 2024 Dutch Young Riders Championships and were nominated on the Dutch team for the fourth time for the European Young Riders Championships in St. Margarethen, where they got team silver and individual test bronze. They were sixth in the Kur.

This show was Gasmonkey's last international. He did no CDI's in 2025
