The adventure of independence in Ocala, FL, for American dressage riders Ben Albright and Ben Winger has been cut short. The duo grabbed the opportunity to become resident riders at Sonnenberg Farm in Sherwood, Oregon.
Albright and Winger used to be based at Lipar's Paragon Farm in Texas, but in the spring of 2025 they took the step to independence and moved to GoldMark Farm in Ocala, Florida. Now the duo is relocating to the Pacific Northwest.
Gina Ruediger, owner of Sonnenberg Farm, posted, "we are so excited to welcome Ben Albright and Ben Winger to Sonnenberg Farm to ride, train and develop our horses. We’ve known them for years as riders and we have always been impressed with their correctness, effectiveness and compassion they show in their training. They bring great experience from developing young horses but also and importantly, they are established Grand Prix riders, developing many horses to compete in Grand Prix."
Sonnenberg Farm is internationally best known as the owner of WCYH finalist Fine Time (by Furstenball x Sandro Hit) and KWPN stallion Jersey (by Vivaldi), who is currently being produced to Grand Prix level by California based Olympian Sabine Schut-Kery. In 2024 Michele Bondy rode Sonnenberg's home-bred Paris (by Vivino x Furstenball) to silver in the 4-year old division at the U.S. Young Horse Championships.
