One of four colts presented at the KWPN Saddle Licensing in Ermelo on 14 October 2025 got accepted to participate in the upcoming performance test.
Four colts were entered:
- Swarovski RW (by Desperado x Everdale) - Breeder: G Tilma - Owner: B Pouw
- Sting (by Glamourdale x Cum Laude M) - Breeder: H. Verthriest - Owner: Van Olst
- Siffredi AZ (by Las Vegas x Prestige VDL) - Breeder: A. Zuurbier - Owner: M. Woudenberg
- Sei Salvador ASD (by Valverde x Apache) - Breeder: A. Schellekens - Owner: G. Hoogendoorn & Maxime Osse
Only Siffredi AZ was accepted and will be presented at the second under saddle presentation on 5 November for another assessment. The KWPN Stallion Performance test begins on 17 November 2025 after a third presentation where the accepted colts need to be deemed fit and ready to do the 21-day testing.
Marlies Woudenberg's KWPN bred Siffredi AZ is also in the process of doing the NRPS performance test.
The saddle licensing took place during the first under saddle presentation of the 3- and 4-year old stallions that were accepted at the 2025 KWPN licensing last February. KWPN no longer hosts a spring performance testing, so the 21-day autumn testing, beginning 17 November, is a mandatory phase to obtain full licensing for these colts. Only 17 of the 33 (!!) three-year old colts accepted in Den Bosch are in the running to be accepted to the performance test.
