International Youth Riders horse Farlana has found a new rider in German pony team member Hannah Isbruch.

Farlana is a 14-year old Hanoverian mare by Furstenball x Lancier. She is bred by Ekke Thaden and was originally named Farlana TS.

Sport Career

Previously owned by Christel Cohn-Vossen, the mare was first trained and competed by Svenja Meyer and Rieke Schnieder. She was also briefly ridden by Ingrid Klimke's apprentice Sophia Schulze Eistrup in 2016.

Vera Nass then took over the ride and developed the mare to Prix St Georges level. They competed at the 2020 CDN Hagen, the first big national dressage show in Germany, after the corona lockdown. They achieved 70.789% in the Prix St Georges and  69.553% in the PSG Special.

Freiberger Hof

In June 2020 Farlana sold to the Baumgürtel family and moved to their yard, Freiberger Hof, where the ride was allocated to then-junior rider Lucie-Anouk Baumgürtel.

Lucie made her international show debut on the black mare at the CDI Le Mans in October 2020, winning all three junior classes. They won bronze at the 2020 German Junior Riders Championships. An almost two year break from CDI showing followed (as Lucie focused on her number one, Hugo). In June 2022 they returned to the CDI ring in Hagen at Young Riders level, followed by CDI starts in Donaueschingen and Kronenberg Indoor. Farlana was a reserve horse for the German team and won silver at the 2022 German Young Riders Championships

In 2023 Lucia again rode Farlana at the German team selection trial at the CDIO Hagen, but Ferati was her number one that year for the German team. Their last CDI was in 2024 in Le Mans, where they won two tests.

Farlana was then briefly ridden by German based Turkish rider Lal Mira Gürgen as a schoolmaster. They showed only once, in one CDI in Lier in February 2025.

Hannah Isbruch

Farlana has now been matched to German pony team rider Hannah Charlotte Isbruch, who made her transition to junior level and horses with this mare.

The 16-year old Isbruch made her international show debut on pony Dabia Dior  (by D-Day x Valido's Highlight) at the CDI Exloo in January 2023. She competed the liver chestnut mare as well as Der Kleine Champion (by Diamond Touch x Londontime) at Pony CDI's throughout 2025. With Dabia Dior she won team gold at the 2025 European Pony Championships in Le Mans and finished 9th in the individual test with 71.676%.

Hannah and Farlana made their show debut this weekend in Guxhagen and scored 69?271% to finish second in the M**-level test.
