WCYH Finalist Straight Horse Floriana Secured for India

Straight Horse Floriana, a 2024 World Young Horse Championship finalist, has been secured for India. German based rider Anush Agarwalla purchased the mare.

Straight Horse Floriana is a 2018 born Danish warmblood mare by Franklin out of Straight Horse Ascenzione (by Zack x Don Schufro). She is bred by Eva Götzsche and Mogens Pedersen of Straight Horse stud.

Denmark

The mare is out of Tiffany Goldman's Ascenzione, the full sister to Sezuan. Under Helen Langehanenberg she won the 2021 Nurnberger Burgpokal Finals and was 6th in the 203 Louisdor Cup Finals, after which she completely disappeared from the scene and was no longer competed.

Floriana began her sport career in Denmark under Helgstrand's rider Mette Sejbjerg Jensen, but only competed lightly: the September qualifier for the Danish young horse championships and then the actual championships in October two years in a row

In 2022 they finished 12th at the Danish Young Horse Championships. They began 2023 by placing 8th in the non-affiliate Danish warmblood 5-year old championships in Herning. At the 2023 Nationals they were 5th in the preliminary round but pulled out of the finals. In 2024 they went to the World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo, where they were 3rd in the consolation finald and then landed 15th place in the 6-year old finals with 75.60 points. They did not go to the 2024 Danish Nationals.

India

In 2025 the mare was acquired by the Agarwalla family for Anush to ride.

A student of Hubertus Schmidt and team gold medal winner at the 2023 Asian Games, Anush premiered the now 7-year old mare at a local show in Borchen-Etteln in June 2025 and got some mileage on her in Hofgeismar and Spenge over the summer.

Anush and Floriana competed at their first, bigger national show this weekend in Guxhagen, where they placed 14th in the developing Prix St Georges test and placed 14th with 68.585%
