The KWPN licensed stallion Livius has been sold by Joop van Uytert to Dutch rider Maaike Honig.

Livius is 2016 born KWPN stallion by Bordeaux out of Blueberry Utopia (by Vivaldi x Nimmerdor). He is bred by Randolph van den Heuvel.

Livius Utopia

Originally named Livius Utopia, the bay was one of two stallions that ended up being named Livius that were licensed at the 2019 KWPN Stallion Licensing in Den Bosch. The second is "Blue Hors Livius" who is by Gotcha Utopia x Jazz), but who was gelded in 2022. Blue Hors' Livius was originally named Leopard M.

Owned by Joop van Uytert, Livius Utopia became the high scoring stallion of the 2019 KWPN Spring Stallion Performance Testing in Ermelo with 84.5 points.

Sport Career

Gerrel Vink first competed Livius. In 2021 they did the KWPN Stallion Competition Finals alternative (due to corona), a suitability test, in February 2021 and scored 77.0 points to place sixth. The pair went on to try for the Dutch team for the 2021 World Young Horse Championships but did not make the final cut. They finished 11th in the 2021 Pavo Cup Finals.

At the end of 2021 Danielle Heijkoop took over the ride and produced him to schooling Grand Prix level. She first showed him on the 2021-2022 KWPN Stallion competition circuit and finished sixth in the finals. They did not compete in the 2022 Pavo Cup Final.

Their international debut was in 2023 in Leeuwarden at small tour level, followed by the CDI Kronenberg Indoor. They did one more CDI, the stallion's last international show, in Lier in February 2024.

Livius has been sold to Maaike Honig, who is based at Stal Griftenstein in De Bilt, The Netherlands. She also owns licensed pony stallion De Mensinghe’s Ewout.
