Brut D'Argent, Best Seller of the 2025 Oldenburg Autumn Elite Auction

Sport horse Brut d'Argent and foal Sir Woods became the best sellers of the 2025 Oldenburg Autumn Elite Auction in Vechta on 3 October 2025. 

This was the 104th edition of elite auction in Vechta.

The licensed stallion and Bundeschampionate bronze medal winner Brut d'Argent (by Benicio x Vivaldi x Don Davidoff), bred by Frank Kolbeck and owned by the Klose-Mimberg-Hess trio, fetched the highest price of the night, selling for 85,000 euro to Bavaria.

The second best seller was the Brillianring mare Vaiana (by Van Vivaldi x Negro) who sold for 50,000 euro. Bellini (by Bon Courage x Dancier) went for 42,000 euro, while Bellatrix (by Bon Vivaldi x Quantensprung) moves to France for 40,000 euro. Invictus Dream (by Ibiza Dream x Florestan) also sold for 40,000 euro.

The most expensive show jumper was for the grey gelding Chadwick (by Chartago Blue ox Chlodwig). He is moving to Lower Saxony for €36,000.

Belgian clients bought Global Diamond (by Global Player xSir Donnerhall) sold for 22,000 euro and Sir Rubino (by Sir Donnerhall x De Niro) for 20,500 €

The best selling foal was Sir Woods (by Sarai L x Vivaldi), which a German bidder secured for 30,000 euro.  Vertigo (by V-Power x Follow Him) went for 20,000 euro to Poland, Louis d'Or (by Lodovico x San Amour) for 19,500 euro. The bay colt For Amazing TR (by For Romance x Bonds) fetched 19,000 euro, Europe Girl (by Lord Europe x Donier) 15,000 euro, A Pretty Girl (by Verbier x Dante's Junior) 14,000 euro.

Belgian clients bought Vito (by Vitalis x Belissimo M) for 13,000 euro, Escadron (by Escamillo x Totilas) for 12,000 euro, and Famoso (by Fiji x Dauphin) for 6,500 euro.

Auction manager Roland Metz stated, "considering the market situation, I am satisfied with the sales rate for foals and am particularly looking forward to hopefully seeing our top-priced horses again at the licensing. However, we would have liked to see higher prices for the riding horses."

The average price for a riding horse was 24,690 €, for a foal it was 10,641 euro.
