Bonne Chance d'Oxalis, Tabea von Feldmatt, Querida Win 2025 Swiss Young Horse Championships

The 4-year old Bonne Chance d'Oxalis, the 5-year old Tabea von Feldmatt, the 6-year old Querida became the winners of the 2025 Swiss Young Horse Championships in Anvenches on 19 - 21 September 2025. 

Two rounds were ridden to determine the champions: a warm-up round and final round with both scores counting. 

The 4-year old division thirteen pairs competed but four in total dropped out eventually. The winner was Anne Perollaz aboard the Swiss bred Bonne Chance D'Oxalis (by Belantis II - Quaterback), who got 80.4% fro judge Pascal Strohbucker in the warm-up round and 78.20 in the final round to average a winning total of 79.30%. The champion is bred by Stephanie and Urs Huber, and owned by Michaela Obrist. Sarina Thommen and the Swiss bred  Volpina-brubina De Oxalis became the reserve champion with a total of 77.1%. The pair was third in the warm-up round (77.8%) and second in the final round (76.40%)

Nine combinations contested the 5-year old division and Swiss Olympian Andrina Suter surfaced at the top with the Swiss bred Tabea von Feldmatt (by Total Hope x Londonderry). Bred and owned by Claudia Bucher, the chestnut, Tabea topped the warm-up round wuth 83.40% and the final round with 84.00% to average a winning total of 83.70%.  The runner-up was Eva Lachat aboard Pinja von Schlossgut, a Swiss warmblood mare by Morricone x Furstenball, bred and owned by Ursula Aebischer. They were third in the warm-up round (82.20%) and second in the final round (80.60%) to average 81.40%.

Only seven pairs started in the 6-year old division and Suter collected her second gold medal of the weekend, winning the overall title with Swiss warmblood Querida (by Quantensprung x Sevillano xx), bred and owned by Paul Koch. They aced the warm-up round with 80.40% as well as the final round with 82.40% to average 81.40% for the title. Ramona Schmidt and Swiss bred Safir von Buchmatt (by Secret x Danone) were the reserve champions. Bred by Josef Lustenberger and owned by Yvonne Schmid, the chestnut gelding was second twice with 78.20% and 76.00%.

The Swiss Young Horse Dressage Championships also include two divisions with mixed ages. An M-level division for horses aged 7 and upwards and an S-level class for horses aged 7 and older. The M-level "Super Promotion" class was won by Angela Arnold aboard the 7-year old Swiss bred Falero vom Loo (by Fürst Fabrice x United) with an average score of 70.16% after two rounds. The winner of the S-level division was Sandra Meier, who claimed her third consecutive title at this level with Nicole Keller's Swiss bred Bretton Star KWG (by Bretton Woods x Abanos). They averaged  67.77%.
