
Swedish Olympian Patrik Kittel has secured a new Grand Prix hopeful, the 8-year old KWPN bred Mr Desperado CVT.
He is a 2017 born Dutch warmblood stallion by Desperado out of Dikita (by Wynton x Highline). He is bred by Carlo Van Trierum.
Mr Desperado CVT
The breeder originally named the horse Mr Desperado CVT and sold an ownership share to Dutch horse dealer Ad Valk.
The duo presented the stallion at the pre-selection for the 2020 KWPN stallion licensing but he was not accepted for the second round. Finnish Olympian Henri Ruoste and horse dealer Nils Kramer purchased the stallion then, but initially kept him in Holland.
He was first competed as a 3-year old by Dutch Franka Loos. In September 2020 the pair won a young talent competition in Tolbert.
The new owners' pair also presented the stallion for licensing with Westfalian society in October 2020. It was a selection for the saddle licensing, but as the group offered was too small, the licensing committee licensed their preferred stallions on the spot and Mr. Desperado CVT got accepted.

Ruoste and Nils took over the training when the horse five. Henri has produced Malaga to schooling Grand Prix level. He never competed him but brought him along to the 2025 CDI Mannheim as a training horse, where caught the eye of many spectators.
Mr Desperado has now been sold and moved to Patrik Kittel's yard as a Grand Prix hopeful.
