Temptation ISF Named Grand Champion of the 2025 Devon Breed Show

The 2-year old KWPN bred Temptation ISF was named Grand Champion of the 2025 Devon Breed Show on Wednesday 24 September 2025.

Bred and owned by Iron Spring Farm, Temptation is by Kaiman out of Love Dance (by Vitalis x Furst Romancier).

Grand Championship: Temptation ISF

The winner and the runner-up of the Young Horse and Mature Horse Championship battled it out for the Grand Championship finale.

Temptation ISF, handled by Quinnten Alston, was favoured for the overall champion's title by inspectors Gwen Ka'awalaa, Susan Graham White, Susan Mandras, and Robin Birk.

"We couldn't be more proud of this filly's success and our team's winning hardwork. We know Mary Alice would be absolutely thrilled to see her brilliant breeding decisions come to fruition," Iron Spring Farm stated. "As the first foal in our program by the Premium stallion Kaiman, we have a lot of excitement for her future in our Developing Horse program. Temptation is a tall filly with super presence, long lines, and very correct conformation. With nice natural balance, good mechanics in movement, and a level-headed demeanor, she has all the makings of a future top riding horse."

The reserve champion's title went to Nala BDL, who won the Mature Horse Championship title earlier in the day, followed by Solstice D and Ezekiel.

Mature Horse Championships: Nala BDL

Nala BDL, the 2018 KWPN mare by Vitalis out of Heavenly ISF (by UB40) was named Mature Horse Champion. She is, owned, shown and bred by Frank Burns.

Ezekiel captured Reserve Champion while adding an accolade for handler Joshua Johnson and Firefox Farm LLC. Ezekiel is 2019 Trakehner stallion by Bourani x Kentucky.

Young Horse Championship: Temptation ISF

Temptation ISF raked in a slew of titles and blue ribbons at the Devon Breed Show, winning the two-year old Filly class, as well as the Filly and Young Horse Championship earlier in the day.

She edged out of Lauren Dearlove's yearling filly Solstice D (by Skyline to B x Widmark).

The other two ranked youngsters in the young horse championship were yearling Usher ISF, a KWPN x Lusitano cross bred by Cum Laude out of Jurdanea (by Escorial); and three-year old Hanoverian mare Zurich HTF (by Zenon x For Romance II).

Stallion Championship: Ezekiel

The Stallion Championship was captured by Ezekiel while adding yet another accolade for handler Joshua Johnson and Firefox Farm LLC. As a three-and-four-year-old, Ezekiel won the Trakehner Riding Horse Championships and passed the 50-day dressage test with a score of 8.02. At his U.S. debut, he took top honours in the Trakehner class.

Branley Ash Nautilus and King Santacruz captured the Reserve Championship with the 2018 Weser-Ems pony stallion (by FS Numero Uno out of Georgina (by Dornik B)), owned by Roseview Farms of Wellington, Florida and bred by Christine Baker.

Mare Championship: Vesterdams Hestia

Six mares previously topping their classes returned for the Mare Championship.

Vesterdams Hestia, owned and shown by Kristen Ortt of North East, Maryland, took the championship. The 2018 Danish Warmblood mare is by Blue Hors Fifty Cent out of Vesterdams Rheia (by Weltjunge).

Reserve honuors went yet again to Nala BDL as Frank Burns collected more ribbons.
