Giulia Gasztecki's international small tour ride Deine Freude has a new rider. Owner Louisa Herbert moved the horse to stable Quellenhof.

Deine Freude is an 8-year old Hanoverian mare by De Sandro out of Freude Pur (by Freudenstern x Rabanus). She is bred by ZG Brodhecker.

The dark bay mare began her sport career as a 3-year old under Philipp Stuppert at one local show in a riding horse test.

In 2022 Giulia Gasztecki made her show debut on Deine Freude at the local show in Darmstadt at A-level. She competed the mare that year, alternating the ride occasionally with Louisa through 2024.

Giulia rode Deine Freude in several Bundeshampionate qualifiers and they did their first international show at the CDI Troisdorf in October 2023 riding the 6-year old young horse classes. A year later they went to the CDI Dielsdorf in Switzerland for the 7-year old tests, winning them both.

In 2025 Giulia exclusively competed the mare and rode her in her first CDI at small tour level in Gosciszow, Poland, where they were second in the PSG, Inter I, and Inter I Kur. She showed the horse, for instance, in the Nurnberger burgpokal qualifier in Mannheim.

The 24-year old Louise Herbert has decided to start a new chapter in her life and has taken her horse along with it.

"For me, time with my horse at the stable is part of my everyday life, even if I am not Freudi's main rider," Louisa told Eurodressage. "I decided to change my environment, as I heard, that some of my old friends and former colleagues gathered at Quellenhof. With Quellenhof‘s head rider Jula Mayer I hope for new perspectives for Freudi in professional dressage sport."

Louisa, who is studying medicine, said that she will take her time to get settled in.

"At the moment Freudi and Jula get to know each other and Freudi already enjoys her time at the new stable," said Louisa.
