
The Belgian European Championships team pony Matteo has been retained for Belgium. Helena Theeuwes' top pony has been sold to the Marrannes family.
Matteo is a 9-year old ZfDP registered pony gelding by Mr Right out of Rosalie (by Dornik B x Dressman x Voltreffer). He is bred by Ulrich Theymnn.
Bundeschampionate Finalist
The chestnut's career began in Germany in 2019 when the pony was three. He was first shown by Jan Theymann at a local show in Iserlohn.
As of June 2019 Verena Theymann began competing the pony and she qualified for the 2019 Bundeschampionate in Warendorf, where they finished 22nd in the 3-year old riding pony qualifier class.
As of May 2021 Vivien Borgmann took over the ride and she took him back to Warendorf to finish 7th in the 5-year old Dressage Pony Finals.
Helena Theeuwes
The new duo made its international debut followed in February 2024 at the CDI Le Mans, where they posted 69.548% in the first test After competing in Lier, aachen, Compiegne and Le Mans, they were nominated on the Belgian team for the 2024 European Pony Championships, where they were the anchor pair. They placed fifth in the individual test and Kur.
In 2025 they showed in Lier and Compiegne before heading to the European Pony Championships in Le Mans, where they finished 13th in the individual test and 12th in the Kur finals.
The pair won the 2024 and 2025 Belgian Pony Championships.
Emilie Marrannes
With Theeuwes aging out of ponies and making the transition to horses and junior level on Van Vivaldi and Benefit, Matteo was secured by the Marrannes family in August.
Festival 4 Dressage
Both Theeuwes and Marrannes train with Carmen de Bondt.
