2025 French Young Horse Championships

The 4-year old Lancome du JEM, the 5-year old Furstin Toto LH, and the 6-year old Secret Life Majishan became the winners of the 2025 French Young Horse Championships held in Fontainebleau on 11 - 13 September 2025.

The French Young Horse Nationals are hosted by the Societe Hippique Française (SHF) and were held for ponies and horses. They work with a very complex system of parallel divisions: the "Cycle Classique" classes and the "Cycle Libre" classes. Entries depend on the amateur or professional licence of the rider, but some riders can compete in both divisions nonetheless.

4-YO: Lancome du JEM

Five horses were ranked in the finals for 4-year olds with Vincent Julien surfacing at the top as champion aboard Lancome du JEM, a Selle Francais by Secret out of Fantasy Boderes (by Fiorano). Bred and owned by Jeannine Blaise, Lancome du JEM scored 86.20 in the Finals and got 16.45 for conformation to total 85.68%

Gu!illaume Gautier and L'Amore Mio Mercoeur (by Jovian x Sandro Hit) scored the silver. Owned by Marine Ferte, this black Selle Français got 81.20% in the final round and 15.95 points for conformation. Manon Cendrier Pinto and the Selle Francais bred Lily Rose KWL (by Secret x Apache) got bronze with 81.20% and 15.65 points.

5-YO: Furstin Toto LH

The 5-year old division was more filled with 11 combinations ranked. The winner was last year's 4-year old champions: Charlotte Chalvignac Vesin aboard the Hanoverian registered Furstin Toto LH (by Furst Toto x Ampere), bred by Jean Claude Ferrand. The mare got 84.20% in the Finals and 16.5 points for conformation.

Following in a distance was French Young rider Mathilde Juglaret on the Hanoverian mare Fantasy des Paluds (by Furst Toto x De Niro), bred and owned by Pablo Bouillot. THey scored 81.00% and 16.25 points.

The bronze was for Christine Moulis Lebecq aboard her own and Frederic Lebecq's Hanoverian Zarathoustra (by Zenon x Lord Sinclair). They posted 80.60% and 17 points for conformation.

6-YO: Secret Life Majishan

Charlotte Chalvignac Vesin picked up her second gold medal of the weekend in the 6-year old division in which 13 pairs were ranked.

Aboard the Oldenburg gelding Secret Life Majishan (by Secret x Sir Donnerhall) she topped the board with an 81.20% score in the Finals. There was no conformation score counting at this level.

The silver and bronze went to Mathilde Juglaret, who steered the Hanoverian mare Finest Pearl des Paluds (by Finest x De Niro) to second place with 80.00% and the KWPN mare Opale des Paluds (by Franklin x Soliman) to third place with 79.60%.

Last year's five-year old champions, French Tokyo Olympian Maxime Collard and Marietta Almasy's KWPN bred Olexus NA (by Painted Black x Lord Leatherdale), were fourth.

Ponies: De Bellini, Kracker Le Courtal, Havanero EHW

In the pony division, Eva Grangeat won the 4-year old division aboard the German bred De Bellini (by Dating x Hilkens Black Delight) with 83.000% and 16 points for conformation.

The 5-year old five combinations battled it out for the title and the winner was Eloise Thomas aboard last year's 4-year old champion, the French Sport Pony registered Kracker Le Courtal (by Cockney Cracker x Boss) with 80.81% and 16.55 points for conformation.

The winner in the 6-year old class, which counted just three pairs, was Ludovic Cheron aboard the German bred Havanero EHW (by Herzkonig x Dressboy) with 76.00% in the finals.
