The Hong Kong sale was to Swiss based entrepeneur John Müller (Johann Heinrich Müller), who co-founded the Hong Kong based mountain gear company Ozark with Hans Schallenberger. John bought the horse on the phone from the toilet in his house in Switzerland, where he preferred to do business from in quiet. Müller passed away Suddenly in 2002 and since then Schallenberger has been listed as Lord Sinclair's owner  "on paper" with the German equestrian federation, but the heirs of the Müller family always retained the ownership.

Sport Career

At the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf
The horse was trained at Hof Kasselmann in Hagen and Miriam Henschke achieved her biggest successes on him. She rode him to the gold medal at the 1997 and 1998 Bundeschampionate.

He represented Germany at the inaugural edition of the World Young Horse Championships in Arnheim in July 1999. He competed in the first round, placing 14th with 8.10 points, but was then withdrawn from the show as the horse felt too tired. Two months later he was sixth at the 1999 Bundeschampionate. A year later he finished 17th in the 6-year old finals at the 2000 Bundeschampionate.

Henschke competed the stallion up the levels. They did their first Grand Prix tests at national level in 2006. Henschke kept on showing the stallion at national shows through 2011. Their last competition being in Schenefeld in July 2011 when Lord Sinclair was 17.
