Tutto Dressage reported that Italian Pony team rider Luca Farina has moved to Sweden to start a new chapter in his equestrian career.

The 13-year old Farina, who has an interest in dressage as well as show jumping, moved to Stockholm, where his mother had to relocate to for work.

Originally coached by Claudia Ambiveri and Antonio Sala, Luca made his international show debut on pony Wise Guy (by Bodo x Orchard d'Avranches) at the CDI Ornago in March 2024. He continued to gain mileage at the CDI's in Verolanuova, St. Margarethen, and Lipica.

The Farina family bought Dacapo B (by Dornik B x Golden Dancer) in the autumn of 2024. The now 8-year old Rhinelander won team gold for Germany at the 2024 European Pony Championships.  He showed both ponies extensively this year in San Giovanni, Motesice, St. Margarethen, Lipica, and Verolanuova, before representing Italy with Dacapo B at the 2025 European Pony Championships in Le Mans, where he finished 22nd in the individual test.

Farina has now moved to Stockholm, Sweden, and is based at the Nordling family's Brunnby Gård in Märsta. He will train with Kristian von Krusenstierna.
