After having been based at Oliver Schulze Brüning's yard in Münster for almost three decades, German Grand Prix team rider Ingrid Klimke is moving house.

Moving Base

Klimke operated from Schulze Brüning's stable which she described as "the perfect for my horses. Here we enjoy large, bright box stalls on the floor of an old threshing barn, a large arena, beautiful grounds, great hacking and meadows for turnout. We have ideal conditions for keeping horses so they feel well."

However on 1 September 2025 Ingrid moved her horses to another barn, also in Munster.

"It is located on a small private estate in Münster with 13 paddock boxes, lots of meadows, an indoor arena, a dressage arena, a jumping arena and a canter track," Eqwo.net reported.

The private yard she refers to is Melanie Jankord's stable.

Vayron Stays

After winning team gold and placing 16th in the Grand Prix Special at the 2025 European Championships in Crozet, Klimke and Vayron will continue to be a pair. There were hints the contract ended after Crozet, but the Rudolf Spiekermann owned stallion will remain in Ingrid's training.

"Yes Vayron stays with me," Klimke confirmed in an interview with Eqwo.net in Crozet. "The owners are here too, and we can continue practising and tinkering. We haven't even finished the year yet; he only arrived at the end of October. Now he's getting a break, we're going riding and will enjoy the colourful autumn. And then we'll practise again! We're also lucky that Monica Theodorescu comes once a week; she knows him inside out now, and me too, of course. So we always have new ideas on how to improve, which is really great. Henrik (Lochthowe, German co-team trainer) has also been watching from the sidelines and we've been discussing things. It was really good to have him there for the first time. And Johnny (note: Hilberath, deceased) is watching from above. It's a great team."
