The Westfalian breeding society has announced that it has parted ways with its managing director, Carsten Rotermund, effective immediately.
Marketing director Thomas Münch and breeding director Katrin Tosberg will take over the general management ad interim.
In a press release issued on 1 September 2025, the Westfalian society announced that "The board of the Westphalian Stud Book has relieved managing director Carsten Rotermund of his duties with immediate effect and granted him leave of absence with the aim of mutually agreeing to terminate the contractual obligations of both parties."
It continued, "the board cites a loss of trust as the reason for the separation and emphasises in this context that the Westphalian Stud Book has not suffered any financial or material damage. The Executive Board thanks Mr Rotermund for his work and the successful further development of the Westphalian Horse Stud Book and wishes him all the best for the future."
